Wow! Now, that’s a compliment! Thank you.
Too often we get accused of focusing on the cost of prohibition and not balancing the equation with the potential harm of drug addiction. So, my intention was to focus on the harm of the “drug war” so that we can compare apples to apples.
Bottom line, it’s not even close. The harm of prohibition and incarceration strongly outweigh any potential harm drug addiction may impose on families – families which right now are being torn apart by prohibition vice being made stronger with compassionate drug treatment.
The “drug war” is a blight on the earth and it must end now.
